Country adjacency network

Here’s a visualization I quickly whipped up, since I’m in the habit now of thinking about the network structure latent in all kinds of data.

Nodes are countries, edges are borders, and the legends are self explanatory. Isn’t it fun that the adjacency structure results in a force directed layout that vaguely resembles the original landmasses?
